This deed is the earliest we have found so far It references one dated May 1874 which we are searching for. It was a land purchase of 20 and 83/100 acres with no buildings mentioned. We don't have it transcribed yet.

The sellers were James Pendleton Rogers and Ellen M. Rogers, his wife. The land was purchased for $249.98 by B. J. Duval of Chesterfield County.
