Even through my goals and the goals of the Historical Society are the
same I decided that the influence they wanted to push onto our project was more control than I wanted to give up. I have chosen to obtain State and Federal historical
registration but not to go after the tax credits that require the cooperation of the local Historical Society. At the time of purchase the home was on the local historical landmark list. I will
however go ahead and post the documents I file with them to show you what
it takes to become registered. I'll start here with the descriptive
walk-through.

the Department of Historic Resources dated "27 September 2000" designating
the Circle Oaks House as a certified historic structure and qualifying
it for rehabilitation tax credits if I so choose.
